Traveling Guitar Foundation: Meet the Team

Damon Marks began playing the guitar passionately when he was ten years old. Since a young age, Damon has utilized his musical abilities in tandem with his impressive business acumen to achieve tremendous success in the music industry. Throughout his career, Damon has worked with a diverse range of very notable celebrity artists.

In 2008, Damon helped launch the female-fronted national rock band, Lipstick Magazine. Damon co-produced the band's debut album, Skin Deep, alongside Grammy Award winning recording engineer and multi-platinum producer Mike Plotnikoff. Damon also helped orchestrate the worldwide release of, Skin Deep. In support of the album, Lipstick Magazine undertook a national tour in which they opened for heavy metal icons such as Sebastian Bach, Extreme, Yes, Ratt, and Winger to name a few.

In 2009, Damon graced the stage for a solo performance with Bret Michaels performing Poison's smash hit "Talk Dirty To Me" to a sold out crowd in Allentown, PA.

In early 2010, Damon played guitar for R&B recording artist and winner of NBC’s Season Two of "The Voice", Jermaine Paul, the opening act for Alicia Keys "Freedom Tour". As a part of the tour, Damon played in numerous world-renowned arenas such as Madison Square Garden. More on Damon, click here.

F. Scott Blumberg has more than 18 years of finance, business management, marketing and insurance experience. Mr. Blumberg serves as the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Blumberg Financial Services, LLC, an insurance Brokerage General Agency founded in 1962 by his maternal grandfather. He began there in September of 2009 as Director of Marketing and in November 2012 advanced to his current role. His responsibilities include marketing, brokerage recruiting and retention, estate planning, business succession planning and wealth transfer and preservation, as well as basic family protection needs.

In addition to his contributions at Blumberg Financial Services, Mr. Blumberg is the owner and President of Futura College Planning, LLC, a firm he created in September 2011 to aid families in properly planning for the costs of college. Additionally, Mr. Blumberg serves as the President of Shilla Warrior Martial Arts, a franchisor of Tae Kwon Do schools. Mr. Blumberg is also presently serving as Chief Financial Officer for Pharma-Care, Inc. where he has managed all financial aspects of the company since April 2009. Mr. Blumberg is also a member of the editorial board for Perspectives magazine.

Prior to these accomplishments, Mr. Blumberg was employed at DaimlerChrysler Financial Services Americas, LLC from March 1998 to October 2009. Beginning in collections and customer service, he worked his way up to Senior Retail Credit Analyst, Dealer Credit Analyst and Bank Cutoff Specialist, and ultimately Dealer Relations Manager. While there he served as a corporate trainer, a manager of more than 90 employees and a consultant to a group of automotive dealerships with a portfolio of more than $200 million.

Mr. Blumberg earned his B.A. in American Studies from Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania and is a Phi Kappa Sigma Alumni. He currently resides in Manalapan, New Jersey with his wife Rachel and their two children. In his spare time, Scott continues his training as an avid martial artist and received his 1st Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in November 2013.

Deborah Newman is the owner of Petite Taway Inc, a company geared towards working with nonprofits, artists and small businesses across the United States succeed on the web. Deborah graduated from George Mason University with a BA in The Study of the America's specializing in native cultures and art.

Deborah is presently on the board of various nonprofits dedicated to the promotion of the arts as well as animal rights. She has credited art and music with helping her daughter cope with the tragic death of her father and knows that with the loss of music programs in public schools, children like her daughter will suffer greatly.

Deborah hopes to bring her expertise in marketing and web development to TGF, with new and innovative ways of fundraising and promotion, so all schools in the United States will have the opportunity to recieve FREE musical equipment and curriculum, even if the schools have no funding available for expansion. -

David Davidson is a physician assistant practicing in dermatology for The Dermatology Group in Freehold NJ. He has been a PA since 2000.  David is the immediate past president of the NJ Dermatology Physician Assistant Society where he held this  role for 6 yrs. He is a guest lecturer at Monmouth University PA program and has been a mentor for many students over the years. He has been a consultant and clinical researcher for many dermatology pharmaceutical companies over the years.  David has had the opportunity to be a preceptor for PA students, medical students and residents over his career. He has also been involved with the many  legislative issues that affect how Physician Assistants  in NJ can practice. David is married with 2 children and lives in central NJ. Currently in his free time he is training to become a certified mohel to better serve Jewish families in New Jersey.
