Mr. Marks was presented with a letter of recognition from the Mayor of Elizabeth and the Elizabeth Board of Education schools.

The Letter from J. Christian Bollwage - Mayor of the City of Elizabeth, New Jersey

Dear Mr. Marks,
I would like to extend my congratulations to you on your success and commend the wonderful work that you do with The Traveling Guitar Foundation. Through your participation with local schools and the numerous guitar donations, children throughout the country are able to experience the joy of music.

Supporting artistic expression and providing a forum for creativity enables young people to discover and develop their talents. Teaching students how to play instruments, hone skills and showcase their abilities, builds confidence as well as instills a sense of pride in their progress and accomplishments.

Taking the time to share your impressive achievements, knowledge and experience with the young people of your hometown is admirable. Your achievements are a shining example that there are no limits to an individuals's potential or what can be achieved when you work hard, dedicate your life to mastering your craft and give back to others.

The Traveling Guitar Foundation continues to perform with distinction, demonstrating how each one of us can help build a better Elizabeth through serving the community. Your generosity and outstanding contributions to our City set you apart.

On behalf of the citizens of Elizabeth, I offer my congratulations and wish The Traveling Guitar Foundation continued success.

If I may ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
Sincerely, J. Christian Bollwage, Mayor
